Urbanization brings an increase in consumption in China
By the end of the decade, the number of the Chinese middle class will reach 600 million. They are the key driver of economic development – predicted the Chinese Reform and Development Research Institute at the weekend.
In the near future the trend of the recent years will continue certainly, so more and more rural residents will move to the cities in China. The rapid urbanization and the increase in disposable income will contribute to the further increase of the middle class – the research institute believes. According their estimates by the end of the decade, a further 200 million rural inhabitants will move to towns, the number of the middle class can reach 600 million people until 2020.
