Increasing consumption can improve the situation of the rabbit farmers
The consumption of rabbit meat in Hungary needs to be increased in order to stabilize the situation of rabbit farmers – the Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture said on Friday in Debrecen.
Nagy István said at a press conference after the Farmer Expo’s rabbit breeding forum that rabbit farming has become an export-oriented sector after the regime change. 97-98 percent of the tens of thousands of tonnes of rabbit meat produced in Hungary are exported to foreign consumers. (MTI)
