Employment Service: the number of job seekers fall in August
The number of jobseekers dropped by 2.4 percent in August, compared to the same period of the previous year and by 1.1 percent, compared to July. At the end of August, 245,100 jobseekers were registered at the National Employment Service (NFSZ).
The NFSZ said on its website that in August, the proportion of registered jobseekers was 5.3 percent of the economically active population, and the relative rate of the working-age population was 3.7 percent. The lowest value remained in Győr-Moson-Sopron county. (MTI)
