Ministry of Agriculture: the beef sector is on a stable growth path
The cattle industry is on a stable growth track in recent years. The government has not abandoned the sector – Fazekas Sándor Minister of Agriculture said in Szentkirály at the professional day of the Hungarian Grey Cattle Breeders.
The minister said that the beef industry’s output last year was 244 billion HUF. This is 10.2 percent of the total agricultural production. The stock reached 802 thousand animals and is on the level of year 2000. The Hungarian spotted cow population currently exceeds 29 700 animals. (MTI)
