FM: a special attention will be paid to beef producers

The beef cattle farmers receive priority government attention. The supports in the sector expanded significantly in recent years – the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) announced on Friday.

The ministry release quoted Fazekas Sándor, Minister of Agriculture, who told that the domestic cattle herd showed a downward trend after the regime change As a result of the effective co-operation of the Hungarian farmers and the government this trend was reversed in 2011. Between December 2010 and December 2015 the number of cattle increased by 20 percent by 139 thousand. (MTI)
