FM: more professionals would be needed to boost the agricultural economy
The number of students enrolled in agricultural education has increased by two percent last fall, but there are still fewer professionals graduate in these institutions than would be needed for further development – Román István, Deputy Minister of Agriculture told M1 news channel.
He mentioned that the number of people employed in agriculture has increased, but there are still fewer professionals than the industry needs.
He emphasized that the biggest shortage is of agricultural mechanics, because their knowledge can easily be converted into other industrial sectors. (MTI)
