Finnish-Hungarian agreement to maintain the EU sugar quota
The Hungarian and the Finnish Ministrer of Agriculture argued beside the maintenance of the EU sugar quotas on Tuesday's press conference following their discussions in Budapest in the Ministry of Rural Development (VM).
Fazekas Sándor, Rural Development Minister and his Finnish colleague, Jari Koskinen, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry shared their common views that appropriate resources must be available in the EU for rural development.
Finland supports Hungary's position in the vineyard replanting rights. Fazekas Sándor, pointed out that liberalization in this area would jeopardize quality wine production, which is contrary to the interests of Hungary. (MTI)
