One third of young adults consume considerably less calcium than needed
The increase in fractures is a worldwide trend. One of the main reasons behind the fractures is inadequate calcium intake.
According to a recent study, 70 percent of the population in Hungary consumes fewer calcium than recommended. In addition to the right foods, dairy products and calcium-containing tablets, the high-calcium mineral water is an effective form of daily calcium replacement, which is also suitable for lactose-sensitive people.
On the occasion of the Osteoporosis World Day (October 20), the recent survey results of the Hungarian Osteoporosis and Osteoarthrology Society (MOOT) were published. The survey was carried out with the support of the Theodora Kékkúti mineral water.
