Bottomless plates and bottomless stomachs
Brian Wansink, a professor at Cornell university has stirred up controversy with his latest book “Eating without thinking”. He is saying that in order to live longer, we need to eat less. He quotes numerous experiments to prove that no logical relation exists between our sense of hunger and the quantity of food consumed. All these proved that we estimate the consumed quantity on the basis of the remaining quantity, which means the bigger the plate, the bigger our appetite will be.
