At half-time
If somebody takes a closer look at the selection of wines Hungarian restaurants and wine shops offer, they would think we live in a prospering country with a large middle class. We ordinary Hungarians simply think that artisan wines are overpriced. At the same time, we are unable to learn how to do large-scale wine production, which works perfectly in Western Europe and fills store shelves with wines of steady good quality for 2-3 euros. Agricultural Marketing Centre and Wine Marketing Kht. were supposed to support the work of the two groups of winemakers mentioned above – instead they are simply wasting tax payers’ money.
