Nébih calls the attention of license holders of plant protection products that are not classified as plant protection products to pay special attention to the timely initiation of “re-authorization” applications. It is of utmost importance that the parties concerned submit the documentation at least half a year before the expiration of the license.

From 1 January 2026, the documentation required for the “re-authorization” of plant protection products that are not classified as plant protection products* must be submitted to the licensing authority no later than 6 months before the expiration of the validity period specified in the license. Failure to do so will result in the product being “re-authorized” and the authority will revoke the product’s marketing and use license, while providing an appropriate grace period**.
