Inflation in the euro area has accelerated
As a result of rising energy prices and rising services, the rate of inflation growth in the euro area accelerated in August, according to the preliminary data of Eurostat.
The EU’s statistical office said on Thursday that according to its flash estimate, consumer prices increased by 1.5 percent on an annual basis in the euro area in August, compared to the 1.3 percent in June. (MTI)
