Retail sales growth accelerated in the Czech Republic
In July, retail sales growth in the Czech Republic accelerated to seven percent. In June, the figure was 4.8 percent – the Czech Statistical Office announced in Prague on Thursday.
The calendar effect adjusted year-on-year growth was 4.6 percent. In July this year, it was two business days more than in July last year.
The fastest growth, 20 percent, was seen in online business. With the exception of grocery stores, virtually every kind of business has seen an increase in sales – Marie Bousková, director of statistics told reporters. (Kokes János, MTI)
