The value of corporate acquisitions in Hungary increased by half last year
The total value of corporate mergers and acquisitions (M&A) in Hungary last year was 1.67 billion USD (520.8 billion HUF), which was almost 50 percent higher than in 2020, said Sahin-Tóth Balázs, the leading lawyer of Allen & Overy Kádár Law Office at an online press conference on Friday.

The value of acquisitions and mergers in Hungary amounted to 521 billion HUF last year
The total value of transactions in Europe in 2021 was close to 1,419 billion USD, a record for the past 14 years, he said. The total global value of M&A transactions was over 5,800 billion USD, 64 percent higher than in 2020.
According to the law firm’s report, there were 100 transactions in Hungary and more than 20,000 M&A transactions in Europe in 2021. (MTI)
