Some pesticides are killing pollinating insects with much more intensity than pests – according to the European Academies Science Advisory Council, (EASAC). The Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA) also represented itself with two experts at the meeting of EASAC.
The neonicotinoid-based insecticides – that are under EU moratorium – are affect cumulatively for a long period and sometimes they kill the pollinating insects with much more intensity than pests.
The study European Academies Science Advisory Council, (EASAC)was presented in Brussels in mid-April. (MTI)
