The GKI – Microsoft's business competitiveness and environmental indices
The Competitiveness Index (VEX) decreased in the second quarter of 2009, in all countries, including Hungary. The value of the business environment index (UX) is slightly higher, compared to the previous quarter.
In this year's second quarter, compared to the previous quarter, VEX decreased in all the investigated countries. The strongest decline (5.5 percent) had been occured in Romania. Hungary with its 0.6 percent decline is located in the middle-field of the surveyed countries.
The two year long continuous decline of the business environment index (UX) is not continued in the second quarter of 2009, it is almost 3 points higher than the quarter before.
