The Gyula-based Házi-Hús Kft., starts a development ina value of more than a quarter of a billion forints. The company received half of the amount required for the investment from the support of the Food Supplier Development Program implemented under the Irinyi Plan.

Erdős Norbert, State Secretary for Food Chain Supervision at the Ministry of Agriculture, said at the Gyula City Hall on Friday that the meat industry is the second most important sector of the food industry in Hungary, accounting for almost 11 percent of sales, which means a market of 450 billion HUF. The sales revenue of the meat industry has increased by 50 percent and exports by 60 percent in recent years, he emphasized. (MTI)
