In February, producer prices rose by 1.1 percent in the euro area and the EU
On a monthly basis, producer price inflation has slowed at a record pace on an annual basis, both in the euro area and in the European Union.
The EU’s statistical office, Eurostat, said on Wednesday that producer prices in the eurozone and the EU as a whole rose 1.1 percent in February from 5.1 percent in the eurozone and 5 percent in the EU.
Year-on-year, producer price inflation in the euro area accelerated to 31.4 percent from 30.6 percent in January and from 30.4 percent to 31.1 percent in the EU. (MTI)
