At the end of February, 715,000 foreigners were working in the Czech Republic
At the end of February, at the start of the Russian attack on Ukraine, before the wave of migration began, a total of 714,529 foreign nationals worked in the Czech Republic, according to statistics from the Ministry of Labor and Welfare in Prague.
That number is 66,705 more than a year ago and 223,031 more than five years ago. In January-February this year, the number of foreign workers increased by 17,293.
56% of foreign workers are citizens of the European Union and Switzerland who do not need any permits to work in the Czech Republic. (Kokes János, MTI)
