Fazekas Sándor: the fruit and vegetable sector was successful in 2013
The Hungarian fruit and vegetable sector achieved a great success in 2013 – the Minister of Rural Development said at the year evaluation meeting of the Hungarian Fruit and Vegetable Interprofessional Organization and Marketing Board (FruitVeB) in Budapest on Monday.
Fazekas Sándor emphasized that the cooperation between the ministry, the authorities and the farmers brought a measurable success in numbers as well. As an example, he mentioned the melon, apple, apricot, cherry, pepper or apple promotional campaigns that turned the customers towards the Hungarian products again. He emphasized that the sales incentive promotions need to be developed further, that allow the development of the producer background as well. (MTI)
