Fazekas Sándor: it is important to provide cheaper access to basic foods
It is important that the people to have cheaper access to basic food products as well as to buy more Hungarian products; This is high priority in the government’s taxation policy and agricultural policy – the Minister of Agriculture told M1 news channel on Wednesday.
Fazekas Sándor pointed out: since years, newer and newer products are under lower VAT from 1 January. This year, the VAT on fresh milk was reduced from 18 to 5 percent, while the Vat on poultry meat and eggs decreased from 27 to 5 percent and the VAT on restaurant food also decreased from 27 to 18 percent – he added.
