FAO: world food prices increased
In February, FAO’s food price index increased by 1.1 percent.
The five basic food price indices monitored by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) grew to 170.8 points last month.
In February 2017, the index was higher: 175.5 points.
Last month, the price of grain products increased by 2.5 percent and dairy products by 6.2 percent, but oil prices fell by 3.1 percent and sugar prices dropped by 3.4 percent to two-year lows, while meat prices stagnated. (MTI)
