FAO: the UN World Food Day challenge is here
Water is food, development, energy and life. Yet nowadays, too many people lack it, while others take the availability of water for sure. Therefore, the central theme of World Food Day 2023 is water as the basis of life and food.
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is announcing a video challenge among the people of Europe and Central Asia to draw attention to the important role of water in health preservation and food production. Through a movement that crosses countries and borders, let’s stand together for a more sustainable use of this finite and valuable natural resource, because our actions shape the future.
By participating in the challenge, anyone can draw attention to the important role of water in our food systems.
Apply by midnight on October 12, 2023.
The montage created from the submitted videos – a long, undulating movement that crosses continents – will be uploaded to FAO’s social media platforms (e.g. FAO YouTube).
