FAO: It is important to strengthen the small-scale producers
Fernanda Guerrieri, European and Central Asian Regional Representative of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) drew attention to the importance of the strenghtening of the small farmers through cooperatives. She spoke at a press conference in Budapest on Tuesday, that was held on the occasion of the 32nd World Food Day.
The UN representative said: the importance of small-scale producers is huge in the world’s food production. They produce 60-70 percent of the food products.
