FAO: world food prices fell 0.8 percent in April
World food prices fell slightly in April, mainly due to the drastic fall in vegetable oil prices and a slight fall in cereal prices.

Global food prices fall slightly
The April price index was 158.5 points, 0.8 percent lower than the March record, according to data released by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on Friday. Compared to April last year, the indicator was 29.8 percent higher. (MTI)
