SPAR sales exceed a thousand billion forints in 2023
Sales by SPAR Magyarország reached HUF 1,060.3bn in 2023. At the end of last year SPAR Magyarország Kereskedelmi Kft. operated a total of 641 stores. Together with the franchise network, the group has 17,000 workers, being one of the biggest employers in the country.

Nearly 10 billion spent on remodelling and opening stores
The biggest store development of the past year was in Debrecen, where the city’s second INTERSPAR store opened its doors from HUF 3bn. In Sárospatak a new 984m² supermarkets was built from nearly HUF 750m. In Budapest SPAR opened a new City SPAR on Fehérvári Road from more than HUF 300m. SPAR’s franchise network expanded by 25 stores in 2023 and it already has 273 stores, with combined sales of HUF 134.5bn in 2023.
Caring about employees and Hungarian enterprises
Last year, 1.2 million kg of deboned beef, 25.6 million kg of deboned pork and 37.6 million kg of private label products were delivered to SPAR stores from the two Regnum plants. Net sales of the Bicske factory were worth HUF 65.92bn in 2023, while the Perbál processing plant generated HUF 11.41bn. The SPAR enjoy. convenience plant is growing steadily: 977.6 tonnes of salad, cream and around 3 million sandwiches were delivered to SPAR stores.

SPAR helps small businesses to enter the market: after this year’s Hungaricool competition, 37 new products of 9 winning brands appeared on the shelves of INTERSPAR hypermarkets. (x)
