This is what may cause additional 30-40 percent increase in the price of bread
According to the calculations of the National Association of Agricultural Cooperatives and Producers, as a result of the increase in energy costs, the drought and the poor grain harvest, the price of bread may increase by up to 30-40 percent. Meanwhile, a master baker from Zala County decided to close because his electricity bill would triple from August. ATV News report.
A master baker from Zala County bakes a few more loaves, then pulls down the curtain. So far, he has received electricity for HUF 70 per kilowatt, from next month the amount will be HUF 240: “From the first of August, my electricity bill will be so high that I won’t be able to pay for it anymore, so unfortunately I have to close the workshop,” he admitted sadly.
