EY: More and more domestic companies are using artificial intelligence, the gap between companies is growing
Nearly two-thirds of domestic companies are already using or thinking about introducing artificial intelligence (AI), while 29 percent have not yet dealt with the field in any meaningful way – according to EY’s international research involving a total of 5,464 employees and board members in 53 countries, including Hungary.
20 percent of Hungarian companies already actively use artificial intelligence tools, and 18 percent plan to introduce AI-based solutions within two years. Despite the popularity of the technology, nearly a third of the Hungarian respondents (29%) do not yet actively deal with the issue, according to the EY survey.
“The use of artificial intelligence represents a huge potential for domestic companies. Those companies that have not yet developed their AI strategy and have not begun to implement it can very quickly fall behind and gain an irreparable competitive disadvantage.”
– stressed Ádám Farkas, EY’s partner in charge of services related to responsible business operations. The expert added that it is not worthwhile to rush the introduction, since in order to ensure reliable application it is important to take into account ethical aspects, especially the protection of privacy, data security and the prevention of discrimination. In addition, developments must also comply with ethical guidelines and constantly changing legislation.
