SMEs can take an express train
Zsanett Ducsai-Oláh, the CEO of Hungarian National Trading House (MNKH) talked to Trade magazin about their Export Express programme, which is supposed to assist SMEs in entering foreign markets. She told that they help businesses with complex service packages. There are three pillars of the new programme: 1. finding new markets for those 20-30 enterprises which are already successful exporters and can act as flagships of our economy in foreign markets; 2. MNKH established a special unit to find innovative SMEs and startups, in order to help them enter international markets; the InnoTrade startup programme was also launched; 3. widening the cooperation with those successful businessmen abroad who are of Hungarian origin. Ms Ducsai-Oláh told about the Áldomás umbrella brand that it was created for premium quality groceries and artisan food products. At the moment MNKH works with 15 Hungarian enterprises in this project – all of them Functional Food Chain Product Board (FÉLT) or MNKH partners. Áldomás is about quality and not quantity and the products bearing this brand name will be strongly promoted abroad. Hungarian startups can register for the InnoTrade programme at www.innotradeprogram.hu. MNKH will select the best of them to participate in 9 prestigious international trade fairs with the trading house’s support, which are to be held in the near future. What is more, the startups can also recommend international trade events where they would like be present. MNKH can finance the participation fee, exhibiting and accommodation costs at these programmes, only the travel costs have to be paid by the enterprises. (x)
