The Hungarian sweet corn to be exported

The domestic sweet corn producers are in a good position, because last year's crop was not very good so seller's market is forming in Europe. In Europe, the largest producer of sweet cornis Hungary, well ahead of France and Poland.

The Syngenta kft. is the largest sweet corn seed distributor in Hungary. The Syngenta kft. sows Sygenta sweet hybrids in more than 40 percent of the production area. Domestic farmers are growing sweet corn on 34 thousand hectares this year, especially in Bihar, Szolnok, Békés, Csongrád and Bács-Kiskun counties.
