There is plenty of Hungarian grain for export
Similarly to last year, five million tons of wheat production is expected in Hungary this year, and not only the supply of the country is secured, but there is also plenty of Hungarian grain to export, Nagy István, Minister of Agriculture said on Saturday, at the traditional harvesting ceremony in Bük, Vas County.
He recalled that the news last autumn was that “wheat and autumn cereals had to be dusted,” and the winter’s lack of rain caught up with the problems. At the end of March, 100-150 millimeters of precipitation was missing from the soil, which was only replaced in May – he added. (MTI)
