Softeners over HUF 13 billion per year
Softeners are the sixth biggest category among the 60 chemical categories monitored by Nielsen with total sales of HUF 13 billion in the November 2007-October 2008 period. This category is dominated by concentrates with a market share of 89 percent in terms of quantity and expansion of 2 percent compared to the preceding year. Private labels increased their market share to 16 percent in terms of quantity (it was 21 percent in 2006). Consumer prices remained stable at HUF 365.
