European Court of Auditors: teh utilization of EU measures to stabilize agricultural income is low
The EU measures to stabilize farmers’ incomes have only partially achieved their objectives, with low and uneven utilization and some targeted measures may lead to disproportionate compensation payments – the European Court of Auditors said.
The report states that the European Union’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) contains a number of measures aimed at guaranteeing a stable and adequate income for farmers.
Direct payments to 6.4 million farmers in 28 Member States amount to 41 billion euros a year. (MTI)
