European network helps the exporting of Hungarian companies
Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), established by the European Commission in 2008, is the world’s biggest business development network that helps European small and medium-sized enterprises in 63 countries. EEN’s 3,000 experts help businesses to enter foreign markets. Erwan Le Guen, the contact person of the network’s Hungarian leg in Brussels visited Budapest in November.
EEN does business matchmaking, helps to establish innovation cooperations, fosters technology transfer and searches for financial resources for enterprises. In Hungary EEN’s consortium has 8 member organisations, including 5 county chambers and 2 business development foundations, and its work is coordinated by the Hungarian National Trading House (MNKH). Upon his visit Mr Le Guen told that MNKH and the Consortium do an excellent job with their services to assist Hungarian enterprises in entering foreign markets.
The food industry is of key importance in the Hungarian economy and EEN also pays special attention to the SMEs of the FMCG sector. For instance the network organises meetings – free of charge – with businessmen for enterprises at important trade fairs, e.g. last time at the Polagra Food trade show seven Hungarian enterprises were there to conduct almost two dozen negotiations and establish long-term business partnerships.
