European Commission: the Airbnb has brought its rules in line with EU consumer protection regulations
The Airbnb online accommodation platform has brought its rules into line with the Community consumer protection standards, making it more transparent, among other things – the European Commission told on Thursday.
The Brussels body has reported that as a result of the negotiations of recent months, Airbnb has clarified the display of its consumer offers and has met all other expectations.
“Europeans will be guaranteed this year that they will actually be able to go vacation with the same conditions as they were at the time of booking. Then they will be confident that they will pay exactly as it was indicated on the home page” – Vera Jourová, EU Commissioner for Consumer Policy said . (MTI)
