The consumer environment deteriorates throughout Europe
According to the European Commission; In most states of the EU – including Hungary – the consumer environment worsened last year.
In Hungary, the index value for 2009 is 53 points, compared to the 56 point of 2008. Roughly similar deterioration occured in the Czech Republic (50-48) and Germany (59-57). The index of consumer environment decreased from 54 to 45 points in Poland. Meanwhile, in Romania, Slovakia, Great Britain and France, the situation remained unchanged or slightly improved – reports Világgazdaság Online.
