Christmas spendings are increasing in the eastern part of Europe
According to the Christmas survey of Deloitte consulting firm; the Europeans are expected to reduce spendings in the middle of the crisis for Christmas and prefer useful, durable, less expensive presents.
Interestingly, Western Europe is much more economical than the continent's eastern part: Decreasing their holiday spendings by 6.3 percent, while in the eastern part, it is even increasing by 0.7 percent. In Western-Europe, particularly those countries that are affected the most strongly by the crisis are reducing their spends the most. Spain by 9.1 percent, 17.4 percent in Britain, and 22.4 percent in Ireland – reports privatbankar.hu.
