Eurobarometer: EU citizens are increasingly aware of their EU rights
Citizens of the European Union are becoming more aware of their Community rights and the vast majority are familiar with the term “European Union citizen”, according to a Eurobarometer survey published on Thursday.
According to the European Commission’s polling institute, citizens’ awareness of EU rights such as the right of free residence, the right to equal treatment regardless of nationality and the right to vote in European elections has steadily increased over the last decade.
