Eating habits in 2009
GfK Hungária’s study of eating habits reflects the current situation of economic crisis, and the effects of changing consumer trends.
In 2009 irregular eating was typical
trend as well. People eat less at work, in school, and in restaurant.
Lunch is still the most common main meal, but the proportion of those
who prefers dinner increases. Hot meal is still more popular than
cold dinner. The traditional Hungarian foods pork, poultry play the
most important role. Hungarians also eat fruit and vegetables, but
the salads and garnish consumption has been reduced. White bread is
also popular. And we eat more and more pasta.
