For example, designers working for an entity called Obacchi Jacket Lunch Box and calling themselves “food hackers” have redesigned the covers of several dozens of rock LP-s using meat, fish, vegetables and spices. In any case, they have succeeded in drawing attention to bento. Painted tortilla is another gastro-cultural pearl which has generated substantial publicity. These are decorated by artists with their impressions about just about anything. The idea was conceived in the 70’s by José Montoya, a Mexican artist and developed further by Joe Bravo, a painter from Los Angeles when he run out of money for buying canvas.
