We eat on the street, we eat on the beach
The results of the National Food Chain Safety Office’s (Nébih) summer seasonal inspections of beach bars and street food outlets are grim. Food safety inspectors visited 346 establishments across the country, and they found a large number of expired products, as well as problems with hygiene conditions, the storage and traceability of ingredients, and the certification of the health competence of staff. 48 procedures were starred, more than HUF 3m fines were imposed, and 205kg of food products were withdrawn from the market.
