Ideas and results in 2011
When the Guild of Hungarian Restaurateurs (MVI) was formed, the goal was to establish an organisation that is strong because of mutual interests and shared values. MVI represents members’ interests in operating bars/restaurants and placers of accommodation, lobbying for them at central and regional authorities.
Pillars of our work: 1. Protecting interests, 2. Information providing and counselling, 3. Education and professional further education, 4. Regional work. Some of the important results we achieved in 2011: giving professional opinion on and participating in creating the modifications of the Food Safety Act; organising the forum of trade organisations and roundtable discussions when preparing for the new Tourism Act; making a study on the current situation of the HoReCa sector and presenting it before the competent parliamentary committee; regular participation in the meetings with the relevant departments of the Central Agricultural Office for compiling the Food Safety Act manual.
