This year Coop Rally visited North East Hungary
In cooperation with its business partners, retail chain COOP organised the Coop Rally for the 12th time. This time the event – which raises awareness of high-quality Hungarian food products – visited manufacturers and retailers in North East Hungary. In 2017 no less than 115 teams drove in the rally between 14 and 15 September. The event’s patron was Minister of Agriculture Dr Sándor Fazekas. In 2017 the Ital Magyarország team won the rally.
The work Coop Rally has done so far has already produced results: shoppers are looking for world-class Hungarian products on store shelves. A 2016 survey conducted by GfK revealed that between 2012 and 2016 the proportion of those consumers who think that the Hungarian origin of a product is more important than its price grew from 28 to 33 percent. In 2017 Coop Rally was honoured with the Hungarian Product Grand Prize. //
