AccorInvest changes its name to Essendi
AccorInvest has renewed its name and corporate identity, and is now present on the market under the name Essendi, including in Hungary – the hotel management company told MTI.
The French-owned Essendi operates 576 hotels in 24 countries under international brands such as ibis, ibis Styles, Mercure and Novotel. It has 10 hotels in Hungary.
At the end of last year, the estimated value of the company’s portfolio reached 7.8 billion euros (3,120 billion forints). Last year, its sales revenue was 4 billion euros (1,600 billion forints), an increase of 3.1 percent compared to 2023. It employs more than 20,000 people. In Hungary, the company’s net sales revenue in 2024 was 29 billion forints, and its pre-tax profit was 15 billion forints – it was announced.
The change of image is the symbolic conclusion of the transformation that began in 2020. In recent years, the company has repositioned its operations, focusing its portfolio on the most profitable European economy and mid-range segments, while increasing the value of its hotels through renovations, acquisitions and divestments, the statement said.
The new identity, it said, is based on the aspiration that hotels should not only be places to stay, but also inspiring, community-building spaces. As part of Essendi’s sustainability ESG strategy, it aims to halve its greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and become completely carbon neutral by 2050.
