The price of melon has fallen
This year, the dometic watermelon season started around 10 -11 July at the chain of stores in Hungary.
The season started with prices around 250-300 forints per kilogramme, but now after three weeks, prices are ranging mainly between 110-120 forints per kilogramme – according to the survey of Világgazdaság, based on responses from Tesco, SPAR, Lidl, CBA, Auchan and Aldi. (vg.hu, Gyöngyösi Balázs)
