Increased in value, in volume food store sales are stable
The value of food retail sales rose by 3 percent, between December 2008 and September 2009, compared to the previous similar period, from the 90 product groups measured by Nielsen market research company.
The amount of store sales between December 2008 and September 2009 did not changed, compared to the previous comparable period.
Overall, annual retail sales of the food categories measured by Nielsen, exceeds 1 300 billion HUF.
The traffic of energy drinks significantly increased by 33 percent in volume, and by 22 percent in value. In addition, a very positive trend has occured in the sales of vegetable, rice, spices, cocoa powder.
