In one year, Erste grew its loan portfolio to SMEs by 27 percent
The rapid growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) continues. The loan portfolio granted to them by Erste Bank grew by 27 percent in one year and exceeded 200 billion forints at the end of February 2019 – Szerdahelyi Róbert, Director of the Bank’s Small and Medium Business Area told on Tuesday at a background conversation in Budapest.
He added that Erste was able to increase its loan portfolio in the capital by more than 36 percent, compared to February last year. The loan portfolio grew by nearly 23 percent in agriculture in the same period, while loans to food companies increased by 27.5 percent, while in the automotive industry the volume of loans increased by more than 28 percent.
