Hypermarkets bettered their position
With annual sales around HUF 24 billion, sweet biscuits are the 14th most important from the food categories audited by Nielsen. Value sales soared by 4 percent but volume sales dropped by 3 in the December 2010-July 2011 period. Private labels had a relatively high market share: 29 percent – up 1 percentage point. 66 percent of sales (up 1 percentage point) was realised in retail units bigger than 400m².
