SPAR strengthens its franchise network
The SPAR partner program is 10 years old, and currently has a total of 242 stores in 114 settlements. The sales revenue of the franchise stores exceeded HUF 82 billion last year, and they employ a total of about 3,000 people.
“SPAR Hungary’s strategic goal is to make the company’s constantly renewing, high-quality offer available in more and more places in Hungary, even in smaller settlements. In this endeavor, in addition to our own network, our franchise partners, who now operate various types of stores in 114 settlements, play an important role. This year, our SPAR partner program reached a milestone, the first enterprising member of which opened his store in Mór just ten years ago. Compared to its initial small size, the network grew intensively in the early years. In the last three years, a stable development of around 20 percent has been observed, and today our franchise system handles 10 percent of the retail traffic of the entire Hungarian SPAR network”
– emphasized Márk Maczelka, head of communications at SPAR Hungary.
