Hard competition on softdrinks market in Ukraine
Orangina Group, the beverage producer has acquired Rosinka, a Ukrainian soft drinks manufacturer, for an undisclosed sum.
Rosinka, which has a workforce of 600, saw its 2006 turnover
reach 30 million euro. The company produced 143 million litres last year and
its brands are mostly popular in the Kiev area. The company has 2 manufacturing
facilities, one in Kiev and the other in the territory of Crimea. Orangina
intends to extend Rosinka's popularity to the rest of Ukraine.
Orangina will be faced with competition with PepsiCo, which also entered the
Ukrainian market with an acquisition this month.
